The U11’s team have been together for two years learning basic football skills while the emphasis remains heavily on enjoyment of outdoor activity.
Last season we concentrated on a single tactic to move the ball from defence to the wings with forwards making their runs into the wing space.
Although the season started with heavy defeats, morale remained high and the second half of the season saw our game tactic working with some close matches and wins.
The team reached the semi-finals of the league knockout cup, but had mixed results in the Jock McClorey tournament. The team finished seventh in the league – an improvement on its eighth position the previous season.
All the squad members are from the local area and are looking forward to next season.
