The Worthy’s Under 8s and Under 7s both gave terrific performances against Whitchurch this week.
The Worthy’s U8s team gave one of their best performances of their season this weekend against Whitchurch. It was great to see the improvement in the team, compared to the game against Whichurch at the start of the season. All of the team performed really well with C Paterson scoring an excellent team goal. In defence T Philips, L Salwey, O Sheddon and E Wheatley were very solid and were well supported by J Crombie in goal, who made a number of fantastic saves. In midfield C Paterson played exceptionally well and L Mitton and J Skeats passed the ball extremely well in midfield. In attack H Clark played extremely well and is forming a great partnership with B Clark, who had a great game. Robbie Sibley came on as a forward and played extremely well. Although all the team played very well, special mention should go to R Sibley, L Mitton and man of the match E Wheatley.
The Worthy’s U7 team played extremely well in the second game. J Coats, J Sauve, J Jade and J Eastwood had great games in defence and A Cooper made some amazing saves in goal. In midfield J Jacobs had a fabulous game and defended and attacked brilliantly. J Jacobs was very well supported by B Froude-Lewis and C Doyle. In attack G Pugh and J Clark played really well together. Special mentions in this match go to J Eastwood, J Jade and man of the match J Jacobs

Upper Clatford |

The Worthy’s Under 8s and Under 7s both gave tremendous performances against Upper Clatford this week.
The Worthy’s team started really brightly in the first half of the game, showing little evidence of eating too much over Christmas! All of the team performed rally well with B Clarke scoring a couple of great goals. In defence T Philips, L Salwey, J Skeats and E Wheatley were very solid and were well supported by J Crombie in goal, who made a number of excellent saves. In midfield birthday boy C Paterson played exceptionally well and R Sibley, L Mitton, and O Sheddon passed the ball extremely well in midfield. In attack H Clark defied tonsillitis to form a great strike partnership with B Clarke. Although all the team played very well, special mention should go to L Mitton, J Crombie and man of the match B Clarke.
The Worthy’s team played magnificently well in the second game. J Coats, J Jade and J Eastwood had great games in defence and A Cooper made some great saves in goal. In midfield C Doyle had his usual excellent game and was very well supported by R Sibley and J Jacobs. In attack G Pugh set a real captains example and capped a man of the match performance with a poachers goal, following a great shot from J Jade. J Sauve and J Clark were also in attack and play terrifically well. Special mentions in this match go to A Cooper, J Clark and man of the match G Pugh.

In the first game all of the team played brilliantly with H Clark particularly outstanding whilst scoring a hat-trick in a man of the match performance. Captain O Shedden and E Kempster played in defence and kept Crombie in goal quiet. A splendid first half effort by E Kempster in the first half was only a foot wide of capping off a great overall performance. In midfield H Clark, L Salwey and T Phillips never stopped running and passed the ball extremely well. L Mitton and R Sibbley had great games in midfield after coming on in the second half for T Phillips and L Salwey. In attack C Patterson and B Clarke were always dangerous and are developing a great strike partnership. Although all the team played brilliantly, special mention should go to C Patterson, O Shedden and man of the match H Clark. .
The Worthy's team played terrifically well in the second game. J Crombie and J Eastwood had great games in defence and captain A Cooper did very well in goal. In midfield C Doyle, L Mitton and R Sibley worked extremely hard and some of their passing was fantastic. In attack J Sauve and O Shedden played very really well together. Sauve played particularly well and almost scored on a number of occasions. Sauve was deservedly awarded the man of the match award. At half time, J Eastwood became captain and R Sibley went in goal. We were helped by a number of substitutes coming on and B Clarke, J Clark and L Salwey all played very well. Special mentions in this match go to J Crombie, L Mitton and man of the match J Skeates.

Worthys under 8's gave two great performances against Braishfield.
In the first game Worthys gave a tremendous performance against a very good Braishfield side. Sheddon and captain Kempster were solid in defence. Eventually, Braishfield managed to break through the Worthys defence but were denied by Crombie in goal, who made a number of great saves. In midfield Clark, Sibley, Mitton, Salwey and Phillips never stopped running. Phillips gave a great display and one Beckham-like effort from the halfway line was close to being the goal of the season. In attack Paterson, Sauve and B Clarke played well together, with Clarke scoring.
In the second game, Coats and Eastwood were excellent in defence and Cooper made some great saves. Midfielders Doyle, F-Lewis and Jacobs were everywhere. In attack G Pugh and B Clarke played well together, with B Clarke scoring two fantastic goals. Paterson, Kempster and H Clark came on. Eastwood played exceptionally well in goal.
